Plus any fabric or fabric processing purchases. Steaming charge is £2 per metre and ready made scarves in silk and linen are available for sale from £10 – £20 each.

A workshop for anyone who wants to have fun working with fabric and to learn simple ways of working with dyes, paintbrushes and screenprinting – or to use the facilities without tuition to develop and expand your practice.

Learn how to use dyes, pigments and a variety of easy to learn techniques including painting, screen printing, transfer printing and monoprinting. Bring your own paintbrushes if you can, an apron and some rubber gloves!

Carole will make your own photostencil on a screen for you to use during the course if you would like.

Students who have some experience can work at their own pace on projects and new students will be taught a range of techniques to enable the creative development of fabrics for artwork, scarves, textile projects of all kinds including creating fabrics for nuno felting.

The studio has two print tables one is 4m and the other is 3metres long and a heat press. Carole is happy to process your fabric between the sessions in the steamer. There is capacity for just 6 students allowing each person approximately 1 metre square to work in. Dyes are supplied and some brushes are available but its best to bring your own.
