‘Ramsden Edge’ large painted silk scarf Carole Waller
‘Ramsden Edge’ series – Inspired by the North West Yorkshire moors close to Holmfirth with millstone grit, lakes, grasses and big skies and sunrise and sunset – and the beautiful blue merle coat of the lurcher cross dog, Fly, who came to live with us in the late Spring of 2022.
This is a series of abstract painted soft colour scarves to hang on the wall or on the body.
The colour palette for the whole series began in the greys and browns of blue merle combined with the skies and vistas of the land. This one is turquoise, greens, moss, olive, rust, pink and a white slice.
‘Ramsden Edge’ large painted silk scarf measurements :

Carole Waller art to wear:
Each garment and scarf by Carole Waller is unique. They are handpainted and screenprinted by me at my studio just outside Bath. I use my fabrics as unprimed ‘canvases’ and the paintings evolve as I work so no two pieces are the same. Every scarf is signed and you can commission me to make a piece especially for you. I cannot colour match, but I can promise you a unique artwork. I welcome visitors anytime, by appointment. The studio and small showroom is at our home 4 miles east of Bath on the A4, with good parking and a warm welcome. Waller and Wood also shows beautiful stoneware ceramics by Gary Wood.
