‘Ellipse’ blue handpainted double silk scarf Carole Waller

The silk crepe de chine is a double layer, with painted images on one side and a subtler version of the same colours on the lining, and the cloth has a wonderful drape and weight. The ‘front and back’ aspect of the structure means that the scarf can be worn with infinite variations. The multi colours in this piece include bright cobalt/sky blue, orange, grey, pale pink, red, olive ellipse like shapes with a two tone blue lining.

‘Ellipse’ blue handpainted double silk scarf measurements :

Carole Waller art to wear:

Each garment and scarf by Carole Waller is unique. They are handpainted and screenprinted by me at my studio just outside Bath. I use my fabrics as unprimed ‘canvases’ and the paintings evolve as I work so no two pieces are the same. Every scarf is signed and you can commission me to make a piece especially for you. I cannot colour match, but I can promise you a unique artwork. I welcome visitors anytime, by appointment. The studio and small showroom is at our home 4 miles east of Bath on the A4, with good parking and a warm welcome. Waller and Wood also shows beautiful stoneware ceramics by Gary Wood.
