Weekend Workshops

We explore painting and screenprinting on natural fabrics using very simple techniques.

You can make scarves, fabric for clothes , artpieces , quilt making ingredients – anything you wish given the available space and timescale. We also have a heat transfer press for synthetic fabric transformation.

Carole guides you through the weekend with lots of simple experiments in painting and screenprinting techniques on the first day – so that you can make a personal project with all or any one of the ways of working, on the second day.

No previous experience is needed – just a love of play – mark making, colour and line.

Day one is experimental, and Day two allows the opportunity to complete a more personal project with Carole’s guidance. Add an extra day on the Monday to develop even more if you wish. Working on a variety of silks and cottons you can bring your own fabrics or buy during the weekend from Carole’s stock.

Handouts and suppliers lists are available.

Weekend : £250 (including dyes, initial sample fabrics and light lunch).

Extra day on the Monday following the weekend by request : £300 one to one teaching. £150 per person, if booked separately based on two people – and £350 for three days booked altogether.

Other dates of your choice are available upon request for groups of 4 people at @£250 per person or 2 people at £300 per person.
