This lightweight little colourful crushed silk habotai scarf is creased randomly after washing. It’s reminiscent of seaweed but its colourful, dry, silk…. and can be worn loose or tied into a circle and looped around the neck a couple of times. This one is bright red and green, ochre, turquoise, green and black – and more.
Handwash, and when still very slightly damp, tie the scarf into a tight round ball and wind the ball around with string or elastic. Leave to dry out in a warm place to recrease. Adjust the tightness or softness of the creasing with steam from the kettle .
Approximate measurements uncrushed are 200cm/80″ by 55cm/21″ and the crushed effect can give you a variety of sizes.
