Painted silk organza diamond back jacket

A silk transparent silk organza jacket with a diamond shaped panel giving it a pointy back – and rectangular crossover panels in the front. It floats a halo of colour around the body.

The jacket is part of  the ‘Good Friday ‘ collection. Using textures from stones both in and outside Bath Abbey, crosses from handstitched kneelers in the Italianate church in Wilton near Salisbury – and plans of the Roman Baths and drawings from John Wood’s plans of the first Roman domestic dwelling he found when building Georgian Bath. These layers of history inform the whole collection in which Carole has built up layers and layers of image and texture in the screenprinted and painted silk.

Handwash and iron while slightly damp –  or dry clean.
